Everything you need to clean and maintain lacquered timber floors, FirstFloor Wood Floor Cleaner Concentrate and Maintenance essentials in one kit. Qualifies for free NZ shipping.
!The cartridge in this kit is made for lacquered and sealed floors. If your floor is oiled, choose the oiled kit instead.
This is the lacquered-floor version of our floor care kit: the Bona Spray Mop with the cartridge Bona makes for sealed and lacquered timber, a second washable microfibre pad, and a 1 litre bottle of our own FirstFloor concentrate.
It is worth knowing what separates it from the oiled kit, because they look alike. The mop is the same mop and the concentrate is the same concentrate. The cartridge is not, and on a spray mop the cartridge is the part that has to match your floor.
Contents are this kit's own listing. Mop and pad detail is Bona's; the dilution and the 40 litre figure are FirstFloor's.
The Bona cartridge arrives charged, so the kit works out of the box; the concentrate is what you refill that same cartridge with afterwards, which is why the running cost of this kit is measured in litres of made-up cleaner rather than in bottles.
One part of it is not finish-specific at all. FirstFloor states the concentrate suits engineered oak, lacquered, oiled and waxed floors, so a house with a sealed floor downstairs and an oiled one upstairs still only needs one bottle. Everything that has to match your floor is in the cartridge.
Cleaning is the whole of this kit. Refreshing the finish on a lacquered floor is a separate coating job, and the two products for it are below.
The cartridge that comes in this kit holds a cleaner made for lacquered and sealed floors. On an oiled floor, choose the oiled kit instead. If you are not sure which finish you have, a drop of water and about a minute will tell you, and the floor finish guide below walks through it.
Whichever cleaner you run through it, keep the floor damp rather than wet. Standing water is what damages timber, and the fine mist is there to control it.
General good-practice steps for the kit. The dilution is FirstFloor's own, and the mop and pad detail is Bona's.

The mop, two pads and the concentrate, matched to a sealed floor.
Bona Wood Floor Cleaner, ready mixed, if you would rather not dilute a concentrate.
