Match it to your floor's finish
If your floor is oiled or waxed, it takes a different product, so check the finish first. If you are not certain what finish you have, test an out-of-the-way patch before cleaning the whole floor, or ask us before you start.
How to use it, and what to avoid
- Sweep or vacuum first to lift loose grit, so nothing is dragged across the floor.
- Fill your spray mop or sprayer.
- Mist a small section, then clean along the grain with a microfibre pad, refreshing it as it picks up dirt.
General good-practice steps. The cleaner is ready to use, straight from the bottle (Bona).
Do
- Work in sections across the room, rather than misting the whole floor at once.
- Keep a spare pad, so every clean starts with a fresh one.
Don't
- Over-wet the floor. Timber does not like standing water.
- Use harsh or high-alkaline cleaners between washes.
