The everyday clean for an oiled or lacquered floor
Admonter Clean & Care is a concentrated timber floor cleaner for both oiled and lacquered wood. An oiled floor relies on the oils in the timber, and a harsh cleaner can strip them and leave it looking flat. Admonter describes this one as pH-neutral and soap-based, so it lifts dirt without stripping the oils, dulling the surface or leaving streaky residues.

Mix it, and keep the mop well wrung
It is a concentrate, so mix a small amount with water, and make up only what you will use. Timber does not like standing water, so wring the mop or cloth well and clean along the grain.
How to use it, and what to avoid
- Sweep or vacuum first to lift loose grit.
- Mix a small amount of concentrate with water in a bucket or a spray mop reservoir.
- Mop along the grain with a well-wrung mop, working in sections.
General good-practice steps. It is a concentrate, mixed a little at a time with water (Admonter).
Do
- Use it for the everyday clean, not just the deep one.
- Switch to the white version if your floor is white or light-coloured.
Don't
- Over-wet the floor. A damp mop is enough.
- Use a harsh or high-alkaline cleaner between washes. It can strip the oils.
